Coming to Scotland in early Spring, I was met by the bright yellow flowers which made me think about how our sense of belonging can be linked to the native plants that found on the ground which we call our home. Although I did not grow up in Scotland, the beautiful fields of gorge made me feel connected and at home, more so than the fields of grass that surrounded my childhood. In ‘I Lost Home’ I question the relationship between the land our childhood houses and the feeling of belonging and being at home.
